This past Saturday, Sir, two of O/our younger friends, and i went to an area Renaissance Festival to enjoy a day filled with costumes, good food, and great shows. While i did get all that, i also got a bit of insight into how some people view collars.
One of the young girls that came with U/us, who i will refer to as "J", is a girl that W/we've known for a while. She's fun and bubbly, and just a little bit crazy. She describes herself as a "animefan/raver", and one of the pieces of jewelry she wears constantly is a collar with an "O" ring, or a ring for a lead. That day, she brought her lead with her, attached it to her collar, and gave the lead end of it to her friend, from here on known as "L", that came with us. Naturally, by this point, Sir and i (or i, at least) assumed that she would be acting at least a bit submissive.
During the course of the day, J dragged her friend L all over the park, and even stated, rather frequently that "even though i (she) am wearing the collar, it doesn't mean i'm the Pet". The first time i heard her say this, i was startled. my experience with people wearing collars has, until now, been limited to those in the bdsm scene; none of my friends or aquaintances wear collars for fun. i know, of course, that some dominants like to wear collars as jewelry, but i've never seen one with an "O" ring in it.
The worst bit, to me in any case, was the complete indifference she showed with the collar and lead she chose to wear. i had been lusting after it all day; i havent had a collar and lead to wear since they got lost in a move, and i've missed it terribly. Sir and i joked several times about "taking the collar from them and showing them how it's done", and i wish we could have. They were sending people all over the park mixed signals, and they were both being talked about, according to one of the workers.
Eventually, W/we split up from them, and i was able to enjoy just being with Sir. W/we didn't know any of the people around us, and as such, W/we were able to act as the Dominant/submissive that W/we'd wanted to all day. i feel we put the girls to shame, but that may just be my pride showing. Sir will have to tell you all for sure.
This is turning into a much longer post than my previous two, but there is one thing left to say; Sir bought me a new collar! its green and beautiful, with a celtic spiral design holding the "D" ring in place, and i love wearing it. Sir has given me instructions not to take it off unless i have to work, the reason for which i will probably explain in my next post. for now, i have to cut this short. i would like to end with a question, just as i did last time though.
Anyone, Dom/me or sub, please tell me; how does it make you feel when you see others wearing collars and sending everyone mixed signals, as i described above.

Drama
i missed work the other day. my manager was not very happy, but i couldn't really avoid it. A few days earlier, i found out from a close friend, one of the few that knows about mine and Sirs D/s relationship, that another friend that i had told, someone i've known since i was in elementary school, has been discussing Sirs and my relationship with others. i am not a very outgoing person, in regards to O/our relationship; Sir had to push to get me to start this blog.
This, in combination with all the stress i've been dealing with (work, money, planning church programs with Sirs Mother, planning the wedding) made me sicker than i have been in a long while. i hate being sick. It ruins any kind of plans i can make, because for some reason, whenever i get sick, instead of just getting a little sleepy, but still being able to cope, my body just shuts down. i cant stay awake. it is literally impossible. Sir brought me dinner that night, and i could barely stay awake to eat it. i'm sure He had great plans of staying awake and keeping me company until He had to leave, but the night ended with the both of U/us curled up on the couch together asleep, Doctor Who playing in the background. i guess Sir couldn't stay awake either.
On a different note, i haven't been having any nightmares this year, so far, anyways. For the previous four years, i've had nightmares at certain times of the year, due to my previous relationship, which i'm sure i'll end up going into later. And so, Sir saves me again.
On an ending note, a question; if you are reading this, whether Dom/me or sub, vanilla or not... how do you feel about your relationship being discussed by other people?

About Us
Hello, i'm kitten. i have been collared to my Sir for three years, been His submissive for four years, and been in a relationship with Him for five. W/we are currently engaged to be married in a year, and i am head over heels in Love and Lust with Him. He is very wonderful and kind, and i am no where near a good enough pet for Him to Own me, but i am trying my hardest to be the pet He deserves. i am entirely too silly, and am a HUGE fangirl of Doctor Who, Harry Potter, the "Outlander" book series, and many other things that are too numerous to name at this time.
i have a temper and an attitude, and both get me in troble on occasion. i am learning everyday to be a better pet, and love my Sir for putting up with my forgetfulness and being a wonderful, encouraging Master.

Hello, I'm the Sir ;-). As pet said, she's been mine alone for three blessed years, and we're engaged to be married next year. Don't let pet fool you though, she's doing fairly well, though she wasn't wrong about the temper/attitude bit. Something of a work in progress, as it were, but what isn't.
Anyway, the reason W/we started this little project is twofold. Firstly, we haven't been able to find much of a scene in our area, and wanted to put our story out there so others could read and participate in it if they so desired. Secondly, both pet and I are born again Christians, and we noticed something of a lack in that particular demographic in the larger BDSM blogging community. Just though We/we would remedy that, wot? I might occasionally wax philosophical about the relation between the two, but for the most part I'll try not to be in anybody's face about it. For the most part, this will just be the blog of a man and his pet, and their adventures in whips, ropes, and whatever other nifty toys we can find.
So long, and fare well
